Blog -Xolo Black vs Xiaomi Mi 4i: Specifications and features compared

Price and availability 
Although both the smartphones remain priced at Rs 12,999; Unlike the Mi 4i, the Black will not be sold via the flash sale model. Instead, starting July 13 it will be made offered for sale freely on Flipkart, until stocks last of course. The Mi 4i is available in white and grey, while Black only sports one basic color.

Display
The Xolo Black skins a slightly larger 5.5-inch display as compared to the Xiaomi Mi 4i which informal a 5-inch display. Individually, both the smartphones sport full HD resolution and OGS display.

Processor and RAM 
In terms of presentation, around won’t be considerable difference between the two smartphones as they both sport a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octal-core chipset paired with 2GB RAM, and a similar Adreno 405 GPU. 

Camera 
Probably the largest transformation between the two smartphones is the camera. The Xolo Black claims of an exclusive dual-camera setup with one rear camera at 13-megapixel and the other at 2-megapixel. The hindmost cameras are rushed alongside Chroma flash for better photos in low light. The front camera is at 5-megapixels and comes with a diffused flash.

In comparison, the Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Storage 
Another significant difference between the Black and Mi 4i is expandable storage. Even though both offer equal 16GB internal storage, the external storage option is absent on the Mi 4i. The Black offers additional expansion of 32GB via a MicroSD slot.

Battery 
There is not much difference in terms of battery. The Xolo Black packs a 3,200mAh battery, while the Xiaomi Mi 4i packs a slightly less 3,120mAh battery. 

OS 
Both the smartphones run on Android Lollipop on top of their own custom UIs. The Mi 4i runs on MIUI 6, while the Xolo Black runs on its own Hive UI. A detailed analysis of both the operating systems only when we review the Black.

Connectivity 
With respect to connectivity options, the two smartphones come with all the default options including dual-SIM slots. However, the Xolo Black has a hybrid version, which means that the SIM slot also doubles up as a MicroUSB slot for expandable storage, a feature that is absent on the Mi 4i.

Conclusion 
The Xolo Black is yet another addition to the already competitive affordable smartphone segment. Priced at the same point as the Mi 4i, the Black offers a little bit more in the storage and camera department than its competitor. Furthermore, the fact that it won’t be sold via flash sales givesit an added edge over the Mi 4i’s scanty supply in flash sales.
