Every day we come across now rumours on smartphones as they are now the top most trendy and demanded electronic gadget. A new buzz have been heard that the upcoming new Xiaomi Mi5 will be accompanied by Snapdragon 820. Recently there has been a leaked Antutu benchmark screenshot which allegedly showed the Mi5 to notch an impressive score. After that another buzz was heard which was related to the depiction of the detailed specification of the to-be-released Xiaomi smartphone.
The rumours have been in this way that the Xiaomi Mi 5 is to be sported up with a 5.3-inch QHD (2560×1440) display resulting into a sharp 554ppi. With this smartphone a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoCOcta-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. Besides that it will come with a 4GB of RAM with 16GB or 64GB storage capacity. But there will be no option for memory expansion.
The optics is handled by the 16MP camera with a dual LED flash on the back. This smarty is again complemented with a fingerprint scanner on board along with a USB-Type C port. Additionally the device will be powered by a 3030mAh battery – no improvement from the previous generation.
The Xiaomi Mi5 is tipped to run Android 5.1.1 with the company’s latest version, MIUI 7 running on top. The device is expected to be available at around Rs. 24,000 i.e. $400 – similar to the pricing of the OnePlus 2. The listing also details on the fact that unlike the Mi4, the Mi5 will come with a slim profile at just 5.3mm.
But do note that this might be yet another rumour that had cropped up on the to-be-released Mi5, so do take this with a grain of salt.
